Aloha! Beyoncé and Jay Z celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary with a trip to Hawaii.
The
power couple was spotted at the quaint Beach Tree Bar at the Four
Seasons Hotel in Hualalai on the Big Island. A fellow guest, James Brennan, snapped
a photo of his 9-year-old daughter "asking the Queen @beyonce and #JayZ
for pointers on singing at her school talent show next week!!"
So what was Queen Bey's response? "Stay focused and don't get nervous. There's no need to be," she said.
"They were so, so nice," Brennan told E! News. "Very warm, super happy, super in love…They both looked very happy in love."
The romantic trip was for adults only, so Blue Ivy stayed behind in L.A. with Aunt Solange. Beyoncé's little sister shared a photo of 3-year-old Blue hanging out with her at the Museum of Contemporary Art.
ay Z, 45, and Bey, 33, wed on April 4, 2008, at a secret and intimate ceremony at their home in NYC. "What Jay and I have is real. It’s not about interviews or getting the right photo op. It’s real," she told Essence after tying the knot, adding she wasn't a "traditional" bride.
“I
feel that, especially now, with the Internet and paparazzi and camera
phones, it’s so difficult to maintain mystery,” she continued. "And
that’s so important. Even in a relationship, I feel like not being that
accessible is really important… [Not speaking] controls your brand… It
controls what you want to put out there and kind of forces people to
talk about what you want them to talk about.”
In
fact, fans only got to see a pic of the couple from their wedding day
for the first time last summer during their On the Run Tour. The "Drunk
in Love" collaborators were said to be on the rocks at the time — or in this writer's opinion, just in the middle of a fantastic marketing ploy — but whatever the case may be, Jay and Bey seem crazy in love as ever.
