NEWS: Man Accidentally Hangs Himself While Portraying Judas in an Easter Play
Hundreds of attendees at an Easter passion play in Mexico were
horrified as a young man — portraying Judas Iscariot — accidentally
hanged himself onstage.

Jose Ignacio was killed after a rope tied around his neck slipped during the scene, cutting off his airway, according to El Universal.
Witnesses to the tragedy in Michoacán realized the scene had gone awry when the man stopped moving or breathing.
Attempts to revive Ignacio were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
Police do not suspect foul play or suicide in Ignacio’s death, but the local attorney general is investigating.
So sad.
